Environmental Policy
The Sustainable Art Company strives to be a leader in environmental sustainability and believes that a successful future depends on the sustainability of the environment, communities and economies in which we operate. By creating a circular economy we can create a stronger system and flatten or even reverse some of the trends that now threaten the existence of future generations.
Our art minimises impact of linear production via printing our artists work onto refurbished materials destined for landfill such as using leftover print material from our primary company Branded Bio Events. We also source second hand materials for our mirrors, prints and furniture from charity shops, eBay and Facebook marketplace. By offering a range of wall art and furniture, all of our products are manufactured using mostly second-hand materials. Some of our prints are made using C2C accredited PVC free Vinyl and Green Cast Acrylic. We encourage staff members to take public transport to work and installations where possible in order to reduce our carbon footprint.
To make every effort to be circular where possible we intend to implement:
- Material Reutilisation-We achieve this via reusing second hand materials to produce art
- Social Responsibility-We achieve this through using recycling bins on our site in addition to partnering with the 100% recycled toilet paper company, Who gives a crap? who donate 50% of their profits to improving sanitation in the developing world.
The Sustainable Art Company will ensure this policy is implemented throughout our operations by:
- Complying with and exceeding where practicable, all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
- Correctly using all equipment and facilities provided, to ensure the safe and correct handling and disposal of materials and waste products.
- Giving appropriate weight to the environmental policy when making future planning and investment decisions.
- Continuing to reduce resource consumption and waste in our operations.
- Using Eco & Sustainable Materials where possible.
- Sourcing products where possible from local suppliers to minimise carbon footprint.
